Ralph Stricker-Chapman: Bach Cello Suites

Ralph Stricker-Chapman will perform all six Bach suites for unaccompanied cello, three of the suites in each of the two programs. The performances will be punctuated by a series of brief talks about issues of text, context and the aspirations of historically informed performance in consideration of the numerous traps, fallacies and misconceptions which plague the movement from within and without.
